Originally founded in 1959 as Hans Kayem, Inc., Tex-Isle embodies the entrepreneurial spirit in the trading and purchasing of steel products.  Established on direct mill relationships, Tex-Isle strives to maintain its roots in steel purchasing. 

The relationships established among international steel manufacturers provided alternatives for steel warehousers and oil and gas customers.  This ensured an excellent quality product at a substantial savings.

With a primary focus on Oil Country Tubular Goods and Linepipe in direct association with Mannesman of Germany and Sumitomo Metals and Nippon Steel of Japan, an evolution of customer relations with major U.S. Oil and Gas companies thus began.

Through a basis of trust, confidence, dependability and loyalty, relationships with Shell Oil, Getty Oil, Union Texas Petroleum and Coastal States Gas aided in pioneering an alternative market, while broadening the landscape in the distribution of tubulars.

Tex-Isle maintains the integrity, philosophy, and service oriented ethics, set forth by Hans Kayem, through the leadership of his son, Curtis Kayem.
